Where do your reviews come from?
Thumbtack, and we label them as Thumbtack every time they appear. They are shown verbatim rather than edited or excerpted for tone. We do not collect testimonials directly and then present them as independent, because a review a business controls end to end is a different thing from one hosted on a third-party platform, and blurring that distinction is the most common way review sections mislead.
Why doesn't this site show a star rating in Google results?
Because we choose not to emit review or rating structured data. Self-serving rating markup on a business's own site is a well-known source of manual actions, and the honest version of the signal already exists on the third-party platform that hosts the reviews. It is a deliberate decision to give up a rich-result feature rather than mark up ratings about ourselves, and it is documented as permanent in our own engineering notes.
Can I talk to a past customer?
Ask during the estimate. We do not publish client contact details or list client names on the site, for the obvious reason that they did not agree to become marketing, but references can be arranged for a project of comparable scope where the client has agreed to it. For most people the Thumbtack reviews and an in-person walkthrough of the work answer the question faster.
