It depends on square footage, material, and how much demo and subfloor prep is needed — a single room can be a day or two, while a whole-house install with demo and leveling takes longer. We'll give you a realistic schedule during your free estimate.
Do I need to move out during installation?
Most projects don't require it. Room-by-room installs let you keep living in the rest of the house; larger whole-home projects are easier if we sequence rooms so you retain access to a kitchen and bathroom throughout.
Can you install over my existing floor?
Sometimes, depending on the existing surface, its condition, and the new material's requirements — but we generally recommend a proper subfloor evaluation first rather than covering up a problem.
What's the difference between solid and engineered hardwood installation?
Solid hardwood is typically nailed or stapled to a wood subfloor and needs acclimation time; engineered hardwood can often be glued, floated, or nailed and tends to handle humidity swings better. Which one fits your home depends on the subfloor type and the room.
Do you handle the old flooring removal and disposal?
