Frequently Asked Questions
What is the trade program?
It is how we work with the people who specify or manage flooring rather than live on it: general contractors, home builders, architects, interior designers, and property managers. Each has a different question — a superintendent needs the jobsite-readiness gate and to know who owns substrate repair, an architect needs the tolerances and test methods that belong in a specification, a property manager needs turnover and maintenance limits. The five pages under this hub carry those separately rather than as one pitch.
Do you work directly from drawings and finish schedules?
Yes — we order to the SKUs on the schedule and install to the drawings, including racking direction, pattern layout, and where the field is set out from. Where a specified product conflicts with the substrate or with the climate the building will actually live in, we raise it before material is ordered rather than after, because that is the point at which changing it is still inexpensive.
What do you need from us before flooring can start?
The condition the standards require: every wet trade inside the thermal envelope complete — concrete, masonry, plaster, drywall, texturing, painting, power washing — and the building fully enclosed with windows, doors, siding, soffits, roof covering, insulation and ventilation in place, and conditioned. Substrate flatness corrections should also be resolved before flooring is delivered. Installing before those are met is the most common root cause of a new-build callback.
Do you provide documentation for project files?
Yes — current licence and insurance certificates, product specifications and warranty documentation, and our recorded moisture-test results with dates and photographs. That last one matters more than it sounds: documented substrate readings are what let a floor's performance be evaluated on evidence later, rather than on recollection.
